We have run this website for the last 20 years or so, initially for Alumni of the pre-1968 Grammar School. Since 2022, with support from the Foundation Trust, we have managed the Archive as it moved to Chatfields. This meant that we could provide some public access, and of course the Archive now contains material from both the Secodary Modern School and the post-1968 era. Now the Church Street site is being sold the Archive has been placed in a secure location on the School premises, and we are grateful that the School has assured its future. We are indebted to volunteers John Burstow, Ruth Brown and Peter Newnham who have managed the Archive since 2022.

We have also organised several reunions which have proved very successful.

Originally the website only contained documents and photographs from the pre-1968 Grammar School. However, since 2022 our volunteers have scanned quite a lot of material from the Archive from the Secondary Modern and the post-1968 Comprehensive eras. That is now publicly available in searchable form on this website.

The pre-1968 website contains a lot of material that was loaned by Alumni and digitised by us. We would like to add similar material from the Secondary Modern and post-1968 eras.

Finally, a network like this relies on volunteers. If you think could help in organising reunions, in running this website or in any other way we would like to hear from you.
